How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us through this website.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Who we are

The data controller is Acquirity Limited, trading as Vantage Business Solutions, 9 Somers Street, Leeds LS1 2RG. This notice covers information collected through vbsgroup.co.uk and its landing pages.

Questions about your data: info@vantagebusinesssolutions.co.uk or 0113 519 9556.

What we collect

When you request a review or benchmark, we collect:

  • Your name, job contact details (email and phone) and company name
  • Business details you choose to give us, such as number of sites, current energy supplier, contract end date and approximate card takings
  • How you reached the page, such as the advert or campaign that referred you

If you later share energy bills, renewal letters or card statements, we use them only to prepare your review. We do not need, and do not ask for, card numbers or bank account details.

How we use it and why

  • To respond to your request and prepare your review. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To contact you about the services you asked about, by phone and email. Lawful basis: your consent, given on the form, and our legitimate interest in following up an enquiry you made.
  • To measure which adverts and pages work. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal and regulatory duties, including record-keeping for energy contracts and complaints. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

We do not sell your information, and we will not send you marketing about unrelated services without your agreement.

Who we share it with

  • Energy: our energy partner and the suppliers on our panel, when you ask us to obtain quotes or arrange a contract.
  • Card payments: the payment provider you choose, when you ask us to arrange a quote or account. Only the details needed for that quote are shared.
  • Service providers who host our website, customer records and email, under contracts that require them to protect your data.

Some service providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK-approved safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to a contract, we keep your details for up to 24 months, so that we can contact you about a renewal you told us about, and then delete them. If you become a customer, we keep records for the length of your contracts and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

Cookies

These pages use only what is needed to run them, plus campaign tags in the page link to tell us which advert referred you. If we add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
